\nSome of my photographs I considered lost suddenly emerged somehow.\u00a0There were other interesting details of Slovak Su-25K airplanes and\u00a0their armament among them. All those photographs were shot in 2002\u00a0inside the hangars of Kuchyna Air Base while it was opened\u00a0up for public. (Pls. note, that Kuchyna means \u201ckitchen\u201d in Slovak\u00a0language)<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n Here are the details of the underwing store and the way how the auxiuliary <\/em>drop tank is attached. The upper shot is headed backward. The lower <\/em>photograph depicts the store while facing the plane\u2018s nose:<\/em><\/p>\n The compressor fans and the inner walls\u00a0of the jet engine air intake are visible on this photograph. To tell you the truth, I do not remember\u00a0the proper orientation of this shot – so I do not know where the\u00a0(intake) duct surface has the seam in reality:<\/em><\/p>\n No modeller can live without the jet pipe & turbine details. This is\u00a0the port side engine:<\/em><\/p>\n This is the close up of the Su-25K nose with several interesting\u00a0details here. Note also the shape of the (twin) gun muzzle (visible in the\u00a0lower right corner):<\/em><\/p>\n When talking about the gun – here are some more shots of a\u00a0removed gun seen from several different views. The 30mm (twin)gun was\u00a0marked as G\u0160-OFZ BR within this exposition. Other sources use\u00a0different designation,\u00a0 for instance G\u0160-30-2 or AO 17.<\/em><\/p>\n Please note the legs of visitors standing in the background – for your sense of\u00a0real scale. Dimensions of this gun are really impressive and evoke\u00a0deep respect. Especially when one imagines the amount of 250 rounds\u00a0with 30mm caliber ammo…<\/em><\/p>\n And two more close-ups showing the gun muzzle.
