All posted photographs are from my march visit in HGM (Heeresgeschichtliches Museum) Vienna. Anually the Go Modelling International contest takes place inside this nice museum. There were so many nice showpieces here this year, one can barely choose what to photograph first – modeller’s kits or museum exhibits… here is my selection of nice kits. For those of you who would admit that some MiGs are not 100% perfect please keep in mind they are in 1/144 scale.
Hi everybody! Finding Diego Quijano’s interesting blog and especially the Basic modelling guide by Ricardo Rodrígues within – I decided to post this link here. Although it is defined as Basic modelling guide I think the experienced modellers can find some new and useful tricks here too. Also the rest of the Quijano’s blog is surely worth reading. You can find SCI-FI works here, however I like his Airplane works best.
You can find the pictures photographed during the Plastic Winter 2011 in this post. This contest (organized by KPM Bratislava) takes place anually in Bratislava, Slovakia. It has become the international modelling competition of high quality and visit rate (in local measure of course). All the displayed kits were very nicely done – it would be very hard to find the ugly duckling here. However I did not have enough energy to photograph all the kits there, so the airplanes (my beloved category of the whole modelling “madness”) were strongly preferred this time. Hopefully you will like them…

Tento článoček pripájam ako pokračovanie článku “Električka” pred renováciou, kde som zavesil zopár fotiek súčasnej podoby historickej viedenskej “električky”, alebo lepšie povedané elektrickej lokomotívy typu GANZ Eg 6, aká premávala s osobnými vagónmi medzi Prešporkom/Bratislavou a Viedňou. Následne, môj dlhoročný kamarát a zberateľ dobových pohľadníc a fotografii týkajúcich sa histórie železníc a mesta Bratislavy, mi poskytol dva skeny zaujímavých historických fotografii, približujúcich podobu tejto technickej pamiatky – a nepochybne jedného zo symbolov historickej Bratislavy.
So sklzom no predsa, vešiam fotografie zo súťaže v Nitre. Miestnosť s modelmi bola pomerne tmavá a plná ľudí a ja som navyše nemal statív. Musel som preto fotiť s nastaviteľným bleskom, ktorý som nemal… napokon všetko dobre dopadlo vďaka Ďurovi Bojkovskému, ktorý mi požičal jeho zrkadlovku a aj vďaka jeho trojminútovému rýchlokurzu fotenia s ňou (Ďuri ďakujem!). Takže tu sú niektoré z fotografii:
V tlači sa nedávno objavila správa, že 26. októbra sa do Bratislavy opäť vrátila legendárna “električka”, alebo lepšie povedané elektrická lokomotíva typu GANZ Eg 6, ktorá (aspoň podľa improvizovanéo označenia na vozidle) v rokoch 1913 až 1941 ťahala vozne s pasažiermi medzi Prešporkom/Bratislavou a Viedňou. Jej sestra je zrekonštruovaná v rakúskom múzeu dopravy a táto “naša” po rokoch práce (v súkromných rukách slúžila až do roku 2011!) na svoju rekonštrukciu ešte len čaká na koľajisku bratislavského depa Rendez.
