Sukhoi Su-25 in our “kitchen” (Kuchyna Air Base, Slovakia) Pt. V. Details from Hangar

Some of my photographs I considered lost suddenly emerged somehow. There were other interesting details of Slovak Su-25K airplanes and their armament among them. All those photographs were shot in 2002 inside the hangars of Kuchyna Air Base while it was opened up for public. (Pls. note, that Kuchyna means “kitchen” in Slovak language)

Building the FLITZER, part II.

The kit building process can be found in my previous post called Building the FLITZER, part I., while in this second part I wrote about the finishing work on this nice Revell kit (colouring, decals, patina) and also posted more completed kit photographs here.

Building the FLITZER, part I.

First of all I have to say that the Focke Wulf FLITZER is one of the German WW II. projects. So this Revell 1/72 scale model kit is only some kind of a “what if” airplane – which was neither finished nor flewn. Only a 1:1 wooden model was completed in 1944 and tested in the wind tunnel. The brief – but interestng history of German WW II. era jet plane projects development can be found in this kit’s Instruction manual.

MiG-21 MA (MF) in our “kitchen” (Kuchyna Air Base, Slovakia) Pt. II.

Here is the follow-up of my previous article depicting the Slovak MiG-21 MA (MF) planes in Kuchyna Air Base. I photographed one of these planes – No. 1208, standing alone and engineless earlier in 2001. I made several close-ups shooting the areas I consider interesting for me (as a modeller). I hope these pics will help you building your own MiG-21 model kits too.
